Safeguarding statement

Internet Explorers is a trading name of Codegrey Limited. We create online-safety education materials for primary schools and families. Keeping children safe is the point of what we make, and it also guides how we build and run it. This statement explains our safeguarding approach as a content provider. It does not replace the safeguarding policy of any school or setting that uses our materials.

Worried about a child right now?

We are a resource provider, not a designated safeguarding authority, so we cannot act on a concern about an individual child. Please contact someone who can:

  • In an emergency, or if a child is in immediate danger, call 999.
  • Speak to the designated safeguarding lead (DSL) at the child's school.
  • NSPCC helpline: 0808 800 5000 (help@nspcc.org.uk).
  • Childline, for children and young people: 0800 1111.
  • Report online abuse to CEOP at ceop.police.uk.

Our commitment

We are committed to producing online-safety content that is accurate, age-appropriate, and never frightening, and to designing our service so that it does not put children at risk.

How the product keeps children safe by design

Children never need an account, and we do not collect personal information from them. The learning cards are printed and used offline, led by a teacher, parent, or carer.

Safeguarding-sensitive topics are pitched to the child's age and handled with care. Certain cards are deliberately kept out of any quiz or right-and-wrong format, because they are about disclosure and trust rather than test answers.

If you believe any of our material is inappropriate, or you have a safeguarding concern about how our service works, please contact us at hello@internetexplorers.co.uk. We take these concerns seriously and will respond promptly.

For schools and settings

Schools and settings using our materials should always follow their own safeguarding policy and statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education. Our cards are a teaching resource to support that work, not a substitute for it.

Review

We review this statement at least once a year, and sooner if our materials or the relevant guidance change. It was last reviewed in August 2026 and is next due for review by August 2027.
